Developers Ready for The 3G iPhone

Anticipation is building for today's expected debut of the 3G iPhone during Apple's Worldwide Developer Conference in San Francisco. Hundreds of third-party developers are eagerly awaiting the device's launch so that they can finally start selling their apps.

Apple CEO Steve Jobs is expected to disclose more details on how developers can sell their apps via Apple's new App Store when he takes the stage today, but many developers expect it will be a few more weeks before they can actually start selling their wares. Many are anticipating that the new device will have GPS, which could be a boon for new location-based services and advertising applications.
